OPIUM by YVES SAINT LAURENT 50ml
The original OPIUM Eau de Toilette was launched in 1977 & was created by perfumers Raymond Chaillan, Jean Amic and Jean-Louis Sieuzac. The flaçon was designed by Pierre Dinand.
In 2009, the fragrance was re-launched in a new flaçon, designed by YSL Art Director Fabien Baron & Stefan Pilati. The new campaign features the red-headed, English supermodel, Karen Elson.
OPIUM by YVES SAINT LAURENT 50ml is an oriental fragrance, sulfurous and provocative with an iconic silhouette. Highly erotic, the myrrh drives behind reason, exalts the senses, up to break the rules. The warm amber notes , both precious and sacred, have always exert their power of seduction. Opium Eau de Parfum, the trail of the femme fatale according to Yves Saint Laurent.
The opulent, decadent character is immediately apparent from the immediate swoon of mandarin and bergamot notes, deepened by myrrh, jasmine and carnation. Amber unlocks the final note… and the heart of the woman who wears it. In a chic Chinoiserie-inspired flacon.
Top Notes: Mandarin, Bergamot, Plum, Clove, Coriander, Pepper, Bay Leaf & Clove
Heart Notes: Jasmine, Rose, Carnation, Lily of they Valley, Ylang Ylang, Peach, Orris Root, Cinnamon, Patchouli & Sandalwood

The history of the House of Saint Laurent is a colourful one, defined specifically by its founder’s Le Smoking tuxedo and Hedi Slimane’s brand overhaul. This is what makes the Parisian fashion label so culturally significant.
