Oscar by Oscar De La Renta 240ml

Launched by the design house of Oscar de la Renta in 1977, OSCAR is classified as a refined, oriental, floral fragrance. This feminine scent possesses a blend of basil, jasmine, lavender and sandalwood. Recommended for evening wear.

Oscar is the first perfume by Oscar de la Renta, created by Jean-Louis Sieuzac in 1977.

This is a classic, floral, slightly sharp perfume of aromatic notes of lavender, rosemary, and carnation, with sweet, powdery, musky base notes. The top notes include orange blossom, basil, coriander, galbanum, peach, and gardenia. The heart of this composition encompasses ylang-ylang, jasmine, tuberose, rose, rosemary, cyclamen, lavender, and orchid. The base includes opoponax, carnation, patchouli, sandalwood, vetiver, lavender, and amber.

The perfume won FiFi Award in 1978. The perfume was designed by Serge Mansau. It celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2007.

ALL PERFUMES ARE FAR FROM EQUAL

We offer NZ’s best prices for a discerning market. Enjoy prices that are a cut above bargain basement and well below department stores. Our fragrances are the genuine article, but it is the integrity or quality of the perfume that matters. There are many reasons why perfumes spoil, often well before they are purchased by the consumer. Heat is the biggest culprit (that we term baked, like wine).

      FROM WHOLESALER TO RETAILER

Many perfume discounters use sea freight for a month or so without climate control in a metal container ( New York to Auckland) plus however long they sit on the dock. At Designer Direct we only use Air Freight. Costly but your nose will love you.

      CLIMATE CONTROL

The cheaper the fragrance, the less of a bargain you’re getting, and the more likely it was stored with a lack of climate-controlled warehousing. Both our NZ stores where we ship orders from have climate control.
