Founded in 1956, Carrera takes its name from the Carrera Panamericana: a border-to-border sedan and sports car race in Mexico. The company started out making motorcycle goggles and other sports accessories. Later, the company focused its lineup on more fashion-minded sunglasses and optical eyewear.
The Maverick has all the touches of a classic aviator, from the teardrop-shaped lenses to the nose pads and double bridge. Extremely thin and lightweight, the frame is made of laser-cut stainless steel and is complete with a matte copper/gold finish.
