Samsara was the first seriously ‘woody’ fragrance for women when it was released in 1989.
Inspired by India, Samsara opens with dominant, sweet jasmine, warmed by sunny ylang-ylang and anchored by the warmth of sandalwood. Its signature ‘trail’ is expertly balanced tonka, vanilla, and gentle iris.
Recently re-launched, its new bottle is adorned with a historic Bee icon. Designed in 1853 by Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain, for Empress Eugénie, wife of Napoléon III, that Bee became the symbol of the empire & now serves as the emblem of Maison Guerlain.
